Catherine G. Estrada is a Senior Attorney at The Law Office of Derek S. Ritchie, PLLC, where she focuses exclusively on family law. With more than fourteen years of experience representing families across Texas, Catherine provides her clients with skilled, compassionate advocacy in divorce, custody, child support, modification, adoption, and protective order cases. Her extensive courtroom experience and deep understanding of family dynamics allow her to guide clients through even the most challenging legal situations with confidence and care.

A proud San Antonio native, Catherine is an alumna of Incarnate Word High School. She went on to earn dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Texas Woman’s University, graduating with honors, before obtaining her Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law. Licensed to practice law in Texas since 2010, Catherine has dedicated her career to helping families navigate the legal system with compassion and integrity.

Before joining The Law Office of Derek S. Ritchie, PLLC, Catherine served in numerous public service roles, including as an Assistant Public Defender IV in Dallas County, an Assistant Attorney General IV in the Child Support Division, and an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Hidalgo County, where she represented Child Protective Services. She also worked with Legal Aid of Northwest Texas and operated her own private family law practice, giving her a broad perspective on the diverse needs of Texas families.

Outside of her legal career, Catherine enjoys spending time with her three teenage sons, cheering them on at their activities, and reconnecting with her San Antonio roots.
